Best Article of the Year Award
NEW ORLEANS (September 30, 1991) — Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI)
presented Brian Sill, Deterministics, with the Award for Best Article of the Year by a
Professional Consultant Member during the FCSI conference in New Orleans. Articles published
in The Consultant magazine are judged based on industry relevance, timeliness and value
for the foodservice and hospitality industries.
Brian Sill won for his fourth quarter 1991 article: "Capacity Management - Making Your
Service Delivery More Productive." Sill showed how to maximize the efficiency and
cost-effectiveness of a restaurant operation by measuring and examining the capacity of each
element in the production and service delivery system. Doing so will assure the proper balance
between restaurant supply and demand and, in turn, maximize profits.
